Running our centre costs over £150,000 each year, and a large part of that goes toward caring for our incredible team of horses and ponies. As key members of the Trewen Meadows family, their wellbeing is our top priority. That means regular care from a vet, farrier, equine dentist, and physiotherapist — all essential to keeping them happy, healthy, and ready to support our participants.

2.2 Million Dreams, One Goal
We are thrilled to share that our £2.2 million state-of-the-art equine therapeutic centre is now complete! Designed specifically to support people with disabilities, additional needs, or other requirements, our facility provides a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment where individuals can enjoy a variety of horse-based activities that promote well-being, connection, and healing.
Our previous location in Holme Lacy was too small to meet our growing needs and lacked the financial security required for a sustainable future. Around six years ago, we began the search for a new home. In 2021, we successfully purchased a stunning 40-acre site near Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire. After securing planning permission in 2023 and raising the necessary funds, construction began in the summer of 2024.
Whether you’re seeking therapeutic sessions or recreational activities tailored to your needs, our centre has been designed to provide exceptional support and care for every participant. Come and experience the unique bond between humans and horses in a space built with care, passion, and dedication.
While our new centre is complete, we still rely on the generosity of our community to make our vision fully sustainable. Our crowdfunding campaign is ongoing, and every donation helps us provide vital facilities, therapy sessions, and opportunities for those who benefit most from our work.
